About me

Josh Harriman is an oil painter currently living and working in Tacoma, Washington.  Josh grew up in New England and graduated with an MFA from Tufts University in Boston in 2015.  He received his BFA in painting and printmaking from Rhode Island College in 2013, receiving the Art department’s special talent award.  In May 2011 he had the opportunity to spend one month at Vermont Studio Center as an artist-in-residence.  He did another residency with Rome Art Program in the summer of 2014.  Josh has exhibited work in Juried exhibitions and group shows throughout the Northeast, here in Washington and internationally.  He has been an Art instructor at Olympic College in Bremerton, WA since Spring 2019.  In addition to painting Josh enjoys hiking and bicycling, graphic design, vegetarian cooking, science fiction stories, as well as exploring creative collaborations with artist friends.
